County Bus ELW

County Bus ELW266-269

County Bus took delivery of four single-doorway Lance SLFs with Wright Pathfinder bodies in November 1994. They had Townlink fleetnames, on a livery of pale cream with dark green skirt with yellow-green flashes, and signwriting for route 502 on the yellow-green cant-rail. They were numbered ELW 266-269, and worked from Harlow.

They went into service immediately on route 502 (Romford - Collier Row - Debden - Epping - Harlow).

Arriva 3376-3379

The Shires ELW The Cowie Group took over County Bus in February 1996, and later rebranded the company as Arriva East Herts & Essex. Corporate turquoise and champagne livery followed at repaint, and a renumbering as 3376-3379.

3379 was transferred to Arriva Southend in February 1999. 3376-3378 stayed at Harlow until September 2002, when they moved to Arriva the Shires at Luton for route 61 (Aylesbury - Luton). They were soon found instead on Luton local services. They moved out to Aylesbury in August 2003.

3376 expired on route 500 in September 2004, suffering an engine fire, a too-common fate for Lances, but the other two soldiered on, mostly at Aylesbury, until January 2009, when they were sold to Ensign Bus at Purfleet.
Trustybus ELW

Trustybus 267, 268

Galleon Travel bought 267 and 268 in January 2009 and took them back to Harlow for use on route C3 (Harlow - Waltham Cross). They were repainted in Trustybus livery of yellow, red and blue, and were fitted with digital displays.
Centrebus ELW

Centrebus 767, 768

Centrebus took over Trustline in August 2009, and renumbered the two Lances as 767, 768 to fit in its numbering scheme. It left them at Harlow, and repainted them in its orange/white blue scheme.

768 expired at the end of 2010 and was sold for scrap.
